Can’t see the video above can you briefly explain ? Is this referring to Ted Kennedy ?

Anyway, very interesting case coming to Supreme Court after the election (besides ACA case) is whether to exclude illegal immigrants from the census. There was no question on the census whether you’re legal or not but trump left it to to Wilbur Ross to figure out who’s illegal who isn’t.
If they’re excluded it removes many votes on the electoral college in sanctuary states on the coasts and liberal cities. And also changes the makeup of representatives in the house, while also giving significantly less money to these states.
Basically a HUGE decision that will be felt at least until the next census. (I don’t think another admin can change anything until a new census is done)

The Senate advanced Judge Amy Coney Barrett's Supreme Court nomination in a key procedural vote Sunday, paving the way for a final confirmation vote, which will likely take place Monday evening, just a week before the November 3 election where control of Congress and the White House are at stake.

The Sunday vote was held to break a Democratic filibuster of the nomination. Senate Republicans needed only a simple majority to break the filibuster.

ETA: Cloture is when they vote to limit debate on the Barrett confirmation to 30 hours, the legal minimum, and 'bust' the filibuster. 51 senators voted for it, 48 against it. Harris was absent.
