Wrong gender on passport
« on: April 16, 2023, 01:48:45 PM »
I made a passport for my daughter and by mistake marked off male instead of female.
Does anyone know if I can travel with that or it has to be corrected?

You can use it just enter the name details as it's shows on the passport.
If you want to change it then you have up to a year to change for free, you will need to send back the one you got and you will get a corrected one

It has to be corrected. From now on you’ll call him your son. I’m sure that would fly!

Friend of a friend called up one of the airlines on a lark when he was seventeen and asked for a senior-citizen's discount because "he identified as one." After getting sent up the chain three time, he hung up, because he hadn't actually been serious. (He says he was expecting a good laugh from the rep and then being hung up on, but instead he got a lot of nervousness and being sent up the chain.)
Anyone up to trying this for real?
