To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

Anyone have no annual fee link?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Does anyone have any advice?
What's easier to explain to recon, why I canceled my card a week ago or why I downgraded it to a no fee arrival card?

Arrival is a different card... Should be easier.

Will they not notice that I just changed my US airways card to Arrivel?

But you don't think it's an issue?

I can't say what the CSR will ask you, but be prepared to talk your way through it.

Sorry for nudging, I just want to make sure I'm doing this right.
That will be easier than canceling my current us airways card and explaining that my general flight plans have changed in the last week?

I believe it boils down to what you feel more comfortable "defending" to the CSR.

I spoke to a CSR about downgrading to a no-AF Barclayscard and he said that they would claw back to 40k miles if I were to downgrade and have my AF credited (60 day period end tomorrow).  Is there any truth to this? The miles already posted to my USAirways account.  Any advice would be appreciated.

:( Maybe this will keep you under the threshold of CL's and then Chase will approve you for United and it'll alllll be worth it.

I can't say if they can, but i just did the same thing a couple days ago, and the CSR made no mention of taking back the miles. I even clarified that the points that had already posted would not be affected, and she confirmed.

Is it ok to use same FFN for a second card after cancelling the first one?

Or new FFN and merge?
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.
