To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

There is no USAir card without AF. Ask to be downgraded to no AF arrival or rewards card.
-1. There is a US card (I think it's called US rewards card) with no AF and it earns one mile for every $2 spent.

If you downgrade to no-fee arrival they won't know you had the card before. The system will reject the app because it knows you had it and won't pull your credit, but call recon and you will have a convo like this (I jad it multiple times):

Rep: how can I help you?
Me: I applied for usair and it's pending - can you take a look?
Rep: Sure. Actually, you can't get this card because you already had it, and your credit wasn't pulled as a courtesy. Wait, that's not right - you did not have it. Hmm Strange why the system says that. It does that sometimes. I can take a look at your app, but I have to pull your credit, ok?
Me: Sure.
Rep: (after some time) Ok, I looked at your credit, I see you have the no-fee arrival that you did not use much, so I'm not sure we could give you more credit, but I can close that card for you and approve you for this one (or if they do want to give you more, they'll just approve you.

Rinse repeat - well not so much anymore. One rep transferred my credit from the arrival to approve the usair and added 1k credit because "you need a minimum of 5k to be approved for this card". Next day my wife was approved for 1.5k - ntm, it was a 4k cl that was originally a usair card  ;D ::)

Maybe this info shouldn't be publicized, so they do't fix their system?

I just got approved, my card hasn't arrived yet. I need my miles asap. What is the quickest I will get them? Is there any way I can speed it up?

you can call them to expedite your card. YMMV if they'll waive the expedite fee.

My AF posted within 2 weeks of approval.
They wouldn't change the closing date of the 1st statement for me. They said they could only change the following statement.

Does the 1st closing date go according to application/approval or is it the same date for everyone ?

It's definitely not the same to everyone. I "think" it goes by application date + the area/zip code you live (meaning, not everyone who applies Dec. 7 will get a closing date of Jan. 2)

With Crapital One I'm sure it does. When I aske them to change my due date to the 10th they told that this date isn't available for my zip :-\
With Barclays I'm not sure so I wrote "I think"
