For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

With Crapital One I'm sure it does. When I aske them to change my due date to the 10th they told that this date isn't available for my zip :-\
With Barclays I'm not sure so I wrote "I think"
I recently asked to change the date on a Barclay's card the rep said let me see if that day is available.

When I changed the "due by" date, They only offered me like every third day.

How is Barclays customer service when it comes to fraudulent charges and such?  As easy as Amex or as much of a hassle as Chase?

What was your "hassle" with chase? I have it with them fine.

Whenever I've had a dispute with a merchant Chase has made me jump through hoops. Amex takes care of everything immediately.

Didn't mean to take this thread OT, curious if anyone's had experience with barclays one way or the other on customer service issues.

My experience dealing with Barclay on a dispute was good.
Last month I used my Barclay Arrival card for a night in a Jerusalem hotel. I canceled the reservation in time but was charged anyways. I called Arrival to dispute charges and was refunded in about 10 days.

I opened  m&m card last year July and I downgraded it jan.

Right before that in December  I opened  arrivel and closed it 2 months ago on oct. 2

April I opened the usairways  card and today I closed it.

(Oct. 2 I got the m&m for the 2nd time.)

What are my odds?
And when do I attack?

I want to call the reconsideration line for this card on behalf of my wife. Does anyone know if they will give me a hard time if I call on behalf of my wife?

Very much so. Speak in a very high voice or get her to answer the phone and say "can my husband deal with this for me?"

Does Dan have a link for a Business USAirways card?  CS is telling me it is only 25k bonus,  not 50k bonus.  They say they will not match.  (Perhaps this is why it is not listed?)

CS applications supervisor is also telling me that you can have more than 1 open US Airways card?!
Credit CS is saying only 1 allowed, never more.  ?!
