To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

is this 30/60 to get refund on annual fee from date of opening cc or from when paying the fee?  they didnt charge the fee on my account until the second statement...i paid the same day but still have money owed on account.  should i pay the full balance?  will the 89 i paid go towards the fee automatically or does it post against charges first?  im also waiting on the 25$ credit from paperless.  dont want to miis out on that before either downgrading or cancelling.

It's usually counted form the day it was charged. No personal experience though.
The fee ads to your balance. When you make a payment, it will go towards your balance. There's no differentiation between purchases and the AF.
I downgraded and was told that I'm still eligible for the $25 paperless credit, but who knows. The reps don't seem to know anything.

Pay in full. 99% you'll get a refund check, if you ask for it.

So, I have a Barclays US Airways.

Now before they shut it down I am planning on doing a 2BM for me and my wife: US Air and Arrival+ for both sometime this week.

Enough time in advance in case it goes pending?
Any obvious reasons they wouldnt approve me for a second open US Airways card?

Sorry - mistake there. Meant if there is an obvious reason to be approved for a second. I know many that have a 2nd but I dont really get what the pitch for it is to Barclays. I guess they do insta-approve those often enough to have 2 without having to HUCA?

Don't rely on getting instant approval.

Then I really wonder how easy it is to get the second when calling. I guess "business and personal" is something I could tell them..

As per the app page it says you have to apply & be approved before the cut off date (which iirc is the 18th) do you really have to be approved by then is this different then chase?

The 50k are in your Dividend Miles account already? Or it's just posted on your statement?

I understand from others in this thread, that the miles post to your Dividend Miles account only after the statement is closed.
