I booked the ticket last minute using avois and didn't link my Dividend number to my itinerary. They said I had to have booked the ticket with that CC

You should be able to link FF # by the counter.
I have not seen anywhere in the T&C that it has to be booked with that card. I don't think you can dispute it, because the transaction is valid, but you should definitely get on the phone with them and make some noise. Good luck!

Been reading last few pages.. Looking for a few more data points from recent experience.

Wife and I just had the 50k post on our US Airways accounts.
I have MM and Arrival Plus while she has no other Barclay cards.

I would like to churn both of ours by closing my US Airways and downgrading hers to Arrival.

Should i use new emails - so therefore new US Airway account numbers - while doing so?
Any and all help is appreciated!

I don't see why they would take it away. Request a check if you are nervous.

Supervisor did not let me downgrade to a non-annual fee us airways card nor refund the annual fee; he said something about merger prohibiting him from doing that

but did permit me to close card and transfer credit line to barclay's world arrival

I will get the refund by transferring credit line and closing card. He just did not want to credit annual fee back outright WITHOUT closing card

Just auto-approved for my 2nd card after reducing other credit lines and did spend. Had 1st US card for 3 yrs. If I didnt cancel other US card first, will the new card be, er... pointless
