To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

The storyline is that you didn't find the card useful as a US Airways card so you canceled it, but you applied again because someone told you it's becoming an American Airlines card which you do have use for.

Ya it can be tough though especially since a lot of people are probably telling them the same thing. Also btw if you didn't check your application status yet, there's a good chance you were automatically declined as a duplicate and didn't even get a pull.

Ya good luck.  It gets really tough after several times because they see that you've been calling,  but hopefully you'll get it on the first few tries. I personally hope the card will still be around in 2 weeks because then maybe I'll get instantly approved since I didn't have the card in 30 days.

Anyone know of any card perks that will be lost due to the merge? I'd like to use that to get my AF refunded.

There should be no apparent problem in merging my 2 dividend miles accounts, correct?

Just called to ask about downgrading to arrivals, they said they didn't have it as an option and I would have to speak with the credit department (which wasn't open right now). Does this sound right?

Yes. You need to speak to an account specialist not the Philippine reps that answer the phone.

Just received the AAdvantage Aviator invitation. They offered me red but I wanted the silver one. Anyone else in the same boat?

I've heard that they're offering everyone red but then you'll be able to upgrade or downgrade as you wish. I've also heard that US Airways might offer these cards for new apps. In either case these are mostly rumors and I don't know if anyone here knows for sure at this point.
