Recon 866 408 4064 (might pull from Experian)

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

If you plan on applying anyways, it does not hurt to throw in another application.

If the transition is anything like United/Continental then yes, absolutely.

Any idea why the sign up bonus wouldn't post at the same time as the everyday purchase points on a new card?  In the past they've posted same day, but didn't on the new 40k link.  Would like to book an award before Mar 31...

Just had the same issue.

Used for purchases, that's why I'm surprised the bonus points didn't post like they did in the past.

And I wasn't planning on doing a BT, but only getting the 40k.

Hopefully they will post within the next month or so. I guess I can always call to find out.

I applied for 40K offer after first purchase in wiki with $89 annual fee. I spent a few bucks on card but points didn't post with first statement closing but neither did annual fee. I  just got second statement and it shows $89 annual fee but no points. Anyone else experience this? Any point in waiting another month before I reach out? My hesitation is that I have churned this card (not this specific offer) 10 times in the last few years.

Thanks

I had the same thing. I checked the T&Cs

3 Bonus Miles: Applicants who are approved for the Premier World MasterCard will receive 40,000 bonus miles after the first use of the account for a Purchase or Balance Transfer (that are not later returned or rescinded) and have paid the Annual Fee on the account (and such fee is not rescinded).

Did the sign up points used to post immediately anyway?

Thanks!

Contacted Barclays and was told the points would post with the statement closing after the annual fee was paid.

That's a week out for me - will report back if points still don't post.  They don't seem to be pulling an Amex and simply not posting points for churners.

Just SM'd - anyone had recent success getting it waived for this card?  Was originally going to close the card within 60 days and request a refund for the second time then, but the delayed points posting has killed that plan.

My 15,000 bonus points just posted from spending $750 a month in the three months of Nov, Dec, Jan. It took a couple statements, is what I'm saying.

Now... you think I should close the card and go for a churn?
