To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

Both wife and I have card currently, got it late Oct (so no 10k adjustment for us). Just switched to paperless for the $25 credit, who knows when that will post. I'd like to take advantage of the 50k offer, and the referral 10k offer. Is there anyway to get all three promotions? I'm assuming if I cancel the card to reapply I won't get the $25 credits.

Should I try to refer wife for 50k and have her apply with current US card open, and then refer me...or are chances of approval with current card open super slim?

Downgrade? What's a good plan here? Also both have arrival+s open currently.

Downgrade to no-fee arrival for one and apply a few days later. Wait till that account gets referral option. Downgrade second one and use referral. Tofasta meruba lo tofasta.

Interesting...so have to try this first.

How long does it take for referral to come along? Also downgrading to the no-fee arrival seems like something people had a lot of trouble with. Do we know that would give better chances of getting another arrival?

2weeks or so. They either allow or don't.  If they don't,  it will be almost impossible to get approved for new usair.  If they do, it won't be so hard- maybe even easy.

I received the US Airways companion certificate when they billed me the annual fee, but I misplaced it, is there a way to get the code on the US Airways site?

Probably don't need one. Every new link is for 50k

Just got this attached screen shot in my email.

Anyone know if I can create an account for my spouse > "gift her" > get the bonus and then when I get her the US AIR card > move the miles I gave her into the account that is created for her when the card gets made OR move them back to my account later?

There is usually a prohibitive cost involved in these "deals"

Sounds either like someone has had a bad experience with this or didnt do it bc it actually cost something? Do you mind clarifying?

While I don't have the US Air email you are referring to, I have the exact same thing from AA this morning.

It costs $2360.00 to buy/gift 80,000 miles which gets the max 45,000 bonus.

So $2360.00 / 125,000 = 1.88+ cents per point.

Hardly a good deal.

Is it safe to say that I will not be getting approved for any cards any time soon because I have too many inquiries and opened 8 cards within the last year?  I tried to move credit for this card with recon, but they said the same thing that Chase told me many times, and they would not extend any cards to me.  I want to know what everyone else has experienced so I know whether or not to apply for the Citi Plat 50k, Amex EP, and Amex Plat Biz today or just wait a few months or even a year.
