To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

Pulls from TU in NJ, NY , FL , PA

Recon 866 408 4064 (might pull from Experian)

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

I just did another AOR for a total credit newbie. He's been an AU on an AMEX card for a while, but otherwise has never had a CC. USAIrways approved him with 10k instantly, and he got the world premier card (so he should end up with 40k signup bonus).

This really is a good choice for credit newbies.

Why do people on DDF keep signing up for the card then?
Churning is possible
Its a non amex and non chase
Us airway is in the good alliance
+ in NY they often pull TU which few others do, so you can churn them parallel to other churns

Tried doing 2 . Was maybe 5 seconds between hitting apply . The computer asked do you realize that you recently applied for a card and if I want to go ahead with my double app , I said yes. First approved second declined . Called Recon wanted to pull credit I said no way , you should have it from my other app. She came back a few minuted later quite upset that I applied a few times recently and then shut it down , this isnt a game and now you want 2 cards @ once!! etc. etc. I told her thanks , have a great day.

I would call back and speak to someone else. When you do I would suggest leading the conversation explaining your creditworthiness.( I always point out strong area of my credit report to reconsideration reps) ...why your a great customer.....and if they happen to ask you why you wanted a second card...have a good reason.

I wrote that I dropped it when she really started going on about the fact that I've opened multiple cards and closed them soon afterwards without really using them. Wasn't looking to open a can of worms

That's always the uncomfortable part. Once that happens, I often give up, unless I have a great reason to give them.

866-369-1283. Connects directly to analyst. It works same as any major card. Answer few questions. Be prepared to move CL, if you have open cards. Be prepared to close as well. Good luck.
Make sure to mention that Barclays Recon will pull ALL 3 Credit reports!
You can Freeze and then permanently unfreeze your Experian And Equifax on their respective websites

I closed my first Barclays US Air card and then tried to reopen a few days later. I was declined due to "Too many new accounts opened."

So i called up the number supplied on the paper they sent me and was given this number 866-408-4064 (dont know to which department that goes) and the guy basically told me that i had too many inquiries (10) and too many opened cards (eight) over the past year. He also mentioned my recently closed US Air card which i didnt spend much on. When i asked him where he got the info on all those inquiries when i specifically asked not to pull my credit again (i only had 3 inquiries with TransUnion), he told me he got them from Experian but he claims he didnt do a "hard pull."

Was he lying? Can he get that info with a soft pull?

Either way, after reading up on this thread i came across the number john posted, 866-369-1283, and gave it a try. This time the rep told me that they want to see some spending and payments on the cards i recently opened, to prove my creditworthiness. I tried arguing with him, pointing out that i never made a late payment in my entire history, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

It's been reported many times in FT, that they pull experian w/o asking you in Barclays recon.

Tachlis, after calling many times and having no luck (they keep logs of who calls so the next rep just regurgitates what the previous one said...), i got them to reinstate my old card (even though its past 15 days).

Now im hoping that once i have a credit line with them, ill open a random card through shifting some of my US Air credit line and then try again for a US Airways, and when i get declined, tell them that im not asking for more credit, just move some of the credit line from my other card. This method works wonders with Chase (i almost always get declined but call recon and shift credit lines).

So what do you guys think? Will this work? Or does it only work by Chase?

Yes, same as if you sent a $10k check/payment to one of your CC accounts.

As part of the signup bonus you get 1 mile per $1 BT up to $10k. But over 10k, or after the offer expires, there's no promotion so no points. And since BTs don't earn points, you're not getting one extra point (ontop of the base points), just clarifying.
I don't get this
But if your getting charged 3percent for bt why is that worth it to pay $300 for 10k
