For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

I doubt the pulls will show up out of anywhere after weeks- maybe call barclays and see if they see any apps?

I applied for US Reg+Biz.
Got a letter declining on both.
Reason: "Sufficient open lines of credit" - What does that mean?
FICO score is 780, I have no open credit cards with them, and I had a total of two inquiries on my CR.
I had cards with them prior, opened in October 12 and closed in January 13.
This thread makes it clear that recon is tough, should I give it a shot, or just let it slide for now and try again in a couple of months?

Sounds like you have enough credit from other cards and they're not comfortable extending more credit. Whta's your other credit lines?

Four cards with AMEX, five cards with Chase, four cards with Citi, too lazy to work it out but must be at least $70K in total. Although I have nothing with Barclay's.

When did you apply after closing the last card. Sometimes it takes a day or 2 for your closed account to say 0 credit line after closing, and if there was still a payment due, IIRC they still consider it an active CL.

3 weeks after making 3 2bm's all for the barclays 40k offer, this is what shows on app status. any idea why? how can i change it?
