For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

It's been around for a little while already but they only update once every 10 weeks according to the rep.

I didn't really get your answer. They waived the AF so if I close it within 60 days I should get a refund check? Also when can I apply for another card from them I just got my first 2 weeks ago.

They will give you a check    you could apply without closing your card but most likely not getting approved if you close you have more chances to get approved.

If they waived it, you ever paid it and wouldn't get a check. Am i missing something?

I got an instant approval for US Air ~ 8 months after having the LH card open.

I signed up for40K offer after first purchase that's in wiki with $89 AF. My statement just posted and I'm showing $82 (first purchase) on statement but no AF and no 40K. Is it because it was short cycle that it's delayed until next month?

Possibly. Isn't it 40K with a 10K balance transfer otherwise 30K?

Tried searching, but didn't find anything. My apologies if I missed it.
Is there a consensus as to whether the 10K US Air EQMs earned by the Barclays US Airways card will combine with miles flown on AA, and even the 10K AA EQMs earned by the Citi Executive card, to earn status? In other words, if you hit the spend on both cards, do you only need to fly 5k miles for Gold, 30k for Plat, etc?
Definitely a reason to get the card if so. Any input is appreciated.
