Pulls from TU in NJ, NY , FL , PA

Recon 866 408 4064 (might pull from Experian)

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

FWIU most of the links going around last year, offered an annual in built retention bonus for the life of the card. Not sure if that's the link you signed up with.
I just signed up can I SM for it?

You don't have to cancel the card to get the AF waived.
I try my best :-\

Better to create new account number first, they can find your original number and link it together.

If this is true, it should be in the wiki. I know with United, you mist create a new FF# but is it confirmed that with USAirways you have too? With Citi/AA you don't.

craze story here....
I applied for Us Airways card. The day i received it I placed a call and got the AF waived. Great? not really... @ cycles and no miles and i spent $100. I SM them called , i did everything. I get a call from them that since the AF never posted it was waived before it posted I have to wait until next year for it to post and then I will get 40k :'(
I just wouldn't accept that until she said she will see if she can bill the AF now and then waive it.
Waiting to hear from her....

Just go for it again. They pull from TU anyway, so the pull is no biggie.

Please report back. I bet you'll get an instant approval. Even if not, their recon has loosened up a lot.

Data point: My friend tried to get this AF waived yesterday. They told him the same thing they told me - you'll lose all your benefits. Because that meant bupkis in my situation, I told him to accept their offer. 5 minutes later, he checked his US account and under benefits, it no longer said free checked bag and priority boarding...

Alright, will do. Just nervous because I'm in an ocean of student loans and my FAKO (credit karma) is only 776.
