To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

Aren't you afraid that in a couple of months from now, US airways will liquidate all your miles because of duplicate applications?

Has this ever happened ? And if not on same day, why would it be duplicate . Different cards for separate spends as we have been doing for years ?

5 days from speaking to the Rep?

I downgraded to Arrival on Tues and it's still showing the US Air card online with the US Air acct#.

Didn't someone write before, that it won't help to downgrade & you have to cancel?

Different cards for separate spends? So why did you cancel the first card only a few weeks after opening?

Yes. After speaking with the rep.
It takes more than 2 days to see it online.

Now showing online the last 4 digits of the new account number, but still showing picture of the US Airways card.

Don't remember paying attention to that.
Post when it changes.
BTW: You downgraded on Dec. 9th, what time of day?

I was just thinking if I did the right thing to close my old USAir card instead of downgrading.
Anyone auto/recon approved for second USAir shortly after closing the first?

(Maybe I could still reinstate the account and then downgrade?)

Just spoke to them. No way to reinstate.
I should reapply. We'll see what happens.

Does US Airways offer a No fee downgreade one? If so,would that one still include the free fico? Also any luck with them given any sort of retention or waiving the fee?

They do have a no fee version. Not everyone were able to get it though.
All Barclay cards give free FICO.

Read upthread about your other questions.

I just read it. Thanks. Is there a preference as to which No fee version to downgrade to? Also , do the pro rate the AF or credit me in full? AS the annual fee showed up on the october statement

Your accountant told you too!  Needed a record of expenses versus liquidation of an estate from a family member . Mistakenly commingled charges on the first one .

Not as far as I care. Whichever they give you the best retention bonus on.
Never heard of them prorating the fee, but ask and post back. If it's still refundable, it will be a full refund.
I closed my usair card on Monday, and applied for a new one today, and got instant approval, baruch hashem.
Wow. How many cards do you already have with them? Do you have a lot of new accounts from other banks? Are there many inquiries on your TU?

Who ever said there was a 7 day rule?
