I can't find a single other poll that echos this result. Even Fox claims only 50% thought Pence won https://www.foxnews.com/politics/voters-pence-vp-debate-pollster. Sounds to me like USA Today was influenced by right wing anger at their first version of the poll, but I guess there's no way to prove it.

The Commission on Presidential Debates told Fox News on Friday morning that C-SPAN host Steve Scully's Twitter account had been hacked, in the aftermath of a tweet sent from his account to former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci that raised questions of impartiality.

The commission did not give specifics on its claim. Scully himself did not immediately comment. He'd been selected to host the second presidential debate, although the status of all future 2020 debates has been unclear.

The tweet, sent Thursday night, read: "@Scaramucci should I respond to trump."

My idea was that Trump should end off his uninterrupted time by saying, "So Joe, the American people deserve an answer, will you add justices to the supreme court," and then, when Joe starts to pivot, he would unroll a sign that says, "Say the words: 'I won't add any justices'". During another segment, Trump should end his segment off by saying, "You can put the whole matter to rest by telling us if the emails are fabricated", and again, when Joe starts to pivot, he should hold up a sign that says, "Say the words: 'they're fake'".

Issue is, the media will cut the cameras to only cover Joe.
