Which will carry more stuff? We're driving about 3 hours to our destination and bringing a lot of stuff.  Once we get there, there won't be too much driving until the drive back. 

Both are around the same price with Enterprise, Dollar and Thrifty.

You'd probably be fine with either

IIRC a premium has more trunk space than an Escape.

I once had a choice between both, and took the premium over Escape, for that reason
(but this was on the older model)

Had a similar experience, Ford Taurus (premium) has great trunk space, while an escape has less space, and has the rear view blocked when filled.

Just watch out for some premiums that are much smaller, such as the buick Regal or Infinity.

But either way should work
