That part is the easy part.

Did your dealer agree to host? That's the hard part.

You can always sell right away to realize the equity of the new car vs your Bolts residual value. It's exactly the same terms as the original lease. So my lease matures same date.
You’re paying the same dollar amount monthly with the same payoff amount for a car that’s 2 years newer?

Correct and those with a Bolt can attest the dollar amount monthly is verry low.

I’m well aware. I almost jumped on this deal at the time (through someone here on the forums) but I ended up passing it along to a friend of mine.

No. Every year was different so far, including this year. It's more similar to last year (for the worse).

what are the main advantages of a fully electric car over hybrid?

A hybrid car that gets close to 45-50 miles/gallon will save tons of gas and you don't have to bother with charging nor the cost of charging whether at home or at a charging station

Charging is cheaper than gas, and you never need to go to the gas station. Every morning you wake up with a full charge.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

but that's my question hybrid will need very little gas(at 45-50 miles/g) and 0 charging costs vrs whatever the cost is to charge a fully electric car

any other advantages a electric over hybrid?

Cost of charging varies widely by location. In Lakewood it comes out to around $.04 per mile, compared to gas at $4.50/45 miles = $.10.

You still need to go to the gas station every few hundred miles. Electric cars don't need oil changes.

Hybrids have more moving parts, more repairs needed

so when gas price will hopefully go down $2.40 it will be around the same price

In theory less maintenance for the electric car because fewer parts and systems. The hybrid has all the components of an ICE plus all the components of an electric. Another advantage is that the electric motor in an EV is designed to move the car in all conditions- and whereas with a hybrid your MPG savings depend on being able to drive in conditions that avoid using the gas engine, the car can't actually avoid using the gas engine in all conditions.

My experience with hybrids is that they fall short of MPG expectations in most conditions. Winter cold cuts mpg by 25%. Very hot weather cuts MPG by 10% or more. Short drives don't get much benefit from hybrid because the gas engine has to warm up every time. Any time you need to accelerate (e.g. light turns green) it uses the gas engine (unless you are willing to accelerate from 0-30mph in 25 seconds). A hybrid is a waste on drive up to the mountains. Real world MPG is probably the same as what you see on the window sticker if you drive like a stereotypical Prius driver AND have optimal weather + road conditions. Otherwise, you'll get less than you expect.

Bottom line to me is cost- if the hybrid is priced slightly higher than the ICE I'd take the hybrid, but I'm not willing to pay more than x% extra (x depends on which car, e.g. $2-3k extra for a camry hybrid vs regular). Electric is also cost dependent- right now the premium for electric is not worth it for the MPG improvement, but if we got back into a situation where all 3 types of cars were aligned on price I'd very strongly consider full EV.
