I'm not going to do this inane back-and-forth again, but who mentioned anything about quarantine? Your complaint is about a shot, not about quarantine (that you're not doing). And yes, of course people with the flu quarantine at home.

Nobody said one shot and that's it. Do you have a source for your claim? I've said from as early as June last year (I can find it for you if you'd like) that I wouldn't be surprised if we would need annual boosters, like the flu. It's never escalated.

Now they are requiring boosters less than a year after the last shot - in Israel as early as 6 months.  Where they originally said that the boosters would be an updated version of the shot to deal with variants, the booster they are giving is the same as what we got a few months ago.

I am not advocating ignoring the risks, but there must be some middle ground.  Requiring people who are extremely low risk to vaccinate, quarantine etc, seems a bit much.  I know of quite a few families where everyone eligible is fully vaccinated that are in quarantine because one of them is positive, but totally asymptomatic.

People who are fully vaccinated?  If vaccinating works, they shouldn't need to be in quarantine, and if not why are we bothering?  Yes, I know that they say that vaccinated individuals aren't getting seriously ill, but something is wrong with the way things are being handled - requiring more and more vaccines without any medical evidence that they are helpful, and requiring quarantine for even vaccinated household members?!?

Yes. Mandate vaccinations for any tax dollar, from SS to a tax refund and everything in between, and then whoever evaded is on their own.

That is only good if you mandate with a high enough frequency that there shouldn't be a concern about waning immunity or breakthrough variants

Vaccinating works but it's not 100% effective, nor is it effective forever.
That means vaccinated people can catch and spread COVID causing people to get ill or die.

I  am unable to see the article, but how did she intentionally infect her?  Most normal caring parents that I know, on hearing that several family members have tested positive, simply quarantine everyone together in the hopes that they will all get it at the same time as opposed to it shlepping for months.

Many people who test positive now are asymptomatic.  I am not saying that the problem is quarantining those who test positive - the problem is that many people are clearly hidden positives.  Quarantining asymptomatic vaccinated people, while not requiring vaccinated contacts to test, seems ridiculous. 

I do not have the answer, but something is clearly wrong with the way things are being handled.
