I am blissfully ignorant of any of the bad blood between these people from before, but I have to see anything here indicating that these had anything to do with shuls at all. This Tischler guy seems to be a modern embodiment of all of te ideals of the בריונים and a nut. Those who follow a nut are cracked nuts. This seems to have as much to do with עבודת השם as stealing sneakers has to do with black lives. Are they jealous of BLM?

I do not know what psak if any they relied on, or if what they did is justified - even if it saved lives -if they could have done it in a more permissible way. But you’re missing the point - debating over the finer points of whether these 2 men are also reshaim is missing the forest for the trees. If they really wanted to make an impact (not that I think it’s the way to go) they would drive every major artery in the city and state and go at a crawl. They would shut down the entire region every day that Cuomo targets them. Shut down the NUC arteries, the I95 and the thruway and that will make a statement.
