Regardless of what these 2 fellows have done, it's absolutely despicable the words and actions that were taken against them. In public all the more so. Drawing headlines from national news outlets and large Twitter accounts (including, but not limited to, Jake Tapper and Jerry Nadler).
Even if what they did does qualify as "moser", I don't think you'll find a reputable rabbi out there that would commend these actions.

But let's talk about the 'moser' status. Some people are blindly trusting Heshy, among others, that these guys committed mass Mesira. Per JTA, Kornbluh filed a complaint that a shul was illegally open on Pesach. We're not talking about, for example, someone who whistle-blew, for no reason, on someone committing tax or insurance fraud, sending them to prison. This is something that likely was done for the safety of the community, without arresting or getting any individual in trouble.

Regarding Getz -What a crime. How dare he.

JTA article - https://www.jta.org/2020/04/23/united-states/whistleblowers-in-the-haredi-orthodox-community-have-always-faced-obstacles-coronavirus-is-just-the-latest-example
Don't justify Getz or Kornbluh. Both are outspoken individuals who have been constantly looking for trouble.
Both individuals aren't interested in anyone's safety only his own agenda.
Kornbluh should have stayed home, he came out last night to cause trouble and not to "help" the community.

I don't know these men personally so I have no reason to assume or believe that they are only looking for trouble (even if so, my initial point stands). Frankly, I'm not going to take 1 person on DDF's word on that either.

Regarding your last sentence, I never suggested that Kornbluh going out last night was to help the community. It does seem like a pretty dumb move, but reporters' jobs do sometimes entail doing dumb things, and they can also cause a stir sometimes.

The attention grabbing that kornbluh has done at the expense of the Jewish community is sickening.

remove kornbluth from the equation and the jewish community did plenty of sickening attention-grabbing all on its own.

This is Jesse smollet level. It’s pretty darn clear that he went there to make problems, there was no brutal assault and doesn’t seem like anyone even touched him.

I still don't get why someone who advocates wearing masks is called a moser

That’s not why he’s called a moser, he ran around BP in March and April calling the cops on shuls and posting videos on Twitter. He called into the mayors press conference to ask what they were going to do about it.  This has nothing to do with masks.

I am blissfully ignorant of any of the bad blood between these people from before, but I have to see anything here indicating that these had anything to do with shuls at all. This Tischler guy seems to be a modern embodiment of all of te ideals of the בריונים and a nut. Those who follow a nut are cracked nuts. This seems to have as much to do with עבודת השם as stealing sneakers has to do with black lives. Are they jealous of BLM?

I had no idea who these 2 guys were until yesterday, but just reading the last few pages of this thread plus a cursory Google search tells me that they're not people I would want to associate with, let alone defend. That doesn't mean attacking them (if they in fact were) is defensible.

And if he would only sometimes do dumb things as a reporter one can look the other way and attribute it to being part of his job. Unfortunately, its not just sometimes in his case. Its quite often. In my humble opinion that calls for a change in career. Unless for some reason the person has no issue repeatedly doing dumb stuff...
