I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Trumps tax law is a disaster, and he definitely didn't simplify it the way he claimed to make a post card, He put a cap on salt deductions, schedule c tax rate went down for the rich and up for the poor...

The corporate tax rate was changed from a tiered tax rate ranging from 15% to as high as 39% depending on taxable income to a flat 21%

Isn’t schedule c for self employment? Wouldn’t Corp tax be on a Corp return?

The gimmick of putting it all on a post card was very annoying. Pretty much just made nearly everyone add more schedules. Didn't actually simplify anything.
And raising standard deduction happened to not be helpful for those with one child, as they also removed the personal exemption which was abt 4k pp, so it was basically a wash.

It must be because of the tax cut.
No it is for people like you and Trump that think market highs somehow equates to the economy for middle/low income earners must be doing great.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

No, it doesn't equate to middle/low income earners doing great, but it is great for those of us lucky enough to have a 401k or IRA.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

No, a schedule C is for all businesses owned by a sole proprietor or single member LLC (even with employees) not just self employed.

Low-middle income people don't usually file as a C Corp.

Low-middle income people don't usually file as a C Corp.
People who own small businesses usually file a Schedule C (not a C Corp).

Doesn't work that way.

Unfortunately the MI SoS is giving too much credit to precedent & decency. The MI state board of canvassers  is also comprised of 2-2 D-R, and needs a 3-1 majority to certify. If the Republicans refuse again, the governor doesn't fire them, and the courts don't force them to certify (or certify in their stead), it will indeed end up at the legislature. However, even if the legislature nominates Republican electors, the Democrat governor Whitmer can veto it, unless they issue a concurrent resolution, which may be illegal and can lead to arrests by MIs D AG
