Actually, many forecasters said that a split (D Pres, R Senate) would not be good for the market, which was counting on an all-D government to launch a massive bailout and recovery that McConnell will never agree to. So obviously happy about the tax ramifications, but the short-term stimulus they were banking on is now unlikely.

Biden as POTUS and R senate was Wall Street's dream scenario.
This has nothing to do with a Biden win, which was already priced in.
+1 a stable president and no radical house votes.

Now look at this

Can Biden give some republican senators cabinet positions to get democrat senators instead?
Anybody know?

So when the market was going up last couple of days it was based on a Biden win and R senate? I have a bridge to sell you.  :)

The market the last few days (up/down) was 99% based on the virus and how it effects the economy!
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

That would be right if they are requested without invitation, like so many have done for years.

But, sending out enmass, forms or ballots , leaves room for alot of  fraud. Its just a simple fact...

Now, I'm not saying biden didn't win those states but for those looking for room to call biden illegitimate, they have it. Just like Russia and trump.
So first of all, this is not a new thing - almost a quarter of all votes in 2016 were cast by mail. Most of the states in play did not change anything for this election. Whatever rules they had before for mail-in were kept intact. This includes AZ, FL, GA, OH, and TX. WI, MI, and NV did send ballots to all registered voters, while PA didn't, but enacted other measures to encourage and/or effectively process mail-in voting.

Second of all, every state has processes for validating/verifying mail-in votes - the same way they have processes for validating/verifying any vote. If there is widespread (that part is key, since small scale fraud is likely to occur but unlikely to ever swing results) fraud, it will be hard to cover up.

The big difference is them sending them out unsolicited. I received 7 ballots for 4 eligible voters in my house. I got for 2 people not alive and 1 who has been living in a different state for 10 years.
You're in NJ, it's not very relevant. And if you're trying to show that the process is flawed, receiving ballots you shouldn't have, and those ballots being counted are not the same thing.

The senate won't be able to resist spending money. Worst case, Biden can find two shaky republicans and give their states a trillion, even better for WS. Senate negotiations always end the same way - you can have your 500 if I can have my 400. Especially in an era with no apparent consequences to printing money
Couldn't they just not accept?
I mean if the senators want to accept

Mitt Romney won't turn down Secretary of State, though he's from UT with a R governor.

R Senators who are not from ultra-red states with R governors will not be stupid enough to abandon their seats for a Biden Cabinet position, and if they even consider the offer, McConnell will take of it in no time. And R senators from ultra-red states with R governors are not the type of R's that Biden would ever consider putting in his administration.

There's even concern about Elizabeth Warren joining his Cabinet because the governor of MA is R and would appoint her replacement until a special election. Assuming R's hold the Senate, this may not be such a concern, as it would only be temporary, and a D will certainly win a MA special election (unless it's Scott Brown??).

Biden will probably (hopefully) be happy to have a solid excuse not to hire Warren

Not the same thing but makes it very easy. What odds would you place on them not being counted had I sent them in? I would place it at 1% or below.

How can McConnell do anything?

McConnell is one of the most quietly savvy and powerful people in DC. True he can't physically prevent another Senator from taking a job, but if you look at how he's managed to hold his disparate caucus together on many high-profile issues, it's clear that what he wants, he gets. And he's not taking any chances of his narrow majority shrinking in any way.

Not to mention, any Senator considering leaving only has to look at what happened to Jeff Sessions and decide to keep his job security and reputation for his own sake.
