Normally the purpose of Prime Day as I understand it is to create business during the slow summer months. This year, they don't need that, especially so close to the holiday season, but I guess that they are holding one just to keep the minhag going for next year. Therefore, it seems like they are doing the bare minimum just to qualify.

There were major price mistakes on PD 2016 through 2019. My guess is that many were on purpose to generate buzz as Amazon honored all of them, whereas the rest of the year they rarely do that.

Can still happen for 2020, we shall see.

It looks like I should edit edit the title andd remove the words "so far" as this has turned out to be a total dud - the only thing I did was reload my gift card balance with $40
