Suggestions for using free nights ay Hyatt
« on: December 05, 2011, 03:08:32 PM »
Hi guys,

I got the two free award nights at any Hyatt and am looking for suggestions as to where to stay.

I know Dan and others often recommend the various Park Hyatt locations but I am not traveling to any of those locations in the near future (the one in Carlsbad seems to be not worth it).

I am looking for any really nice locations somewhere within a 3-4 hour flight from LA.

Ideas?

Thanks!

Its an option - Is it worthwhile if I'm only Platinum member? Or is it only worth it if you get a Diamond Suite Upgrade?

I am looking for some other ideas as well.

Thanks.

That depends if you need a suite or not.
Not too many other diamond bennies at GHK besides grand club access.

I have two Hyatt free night awards which I got as a signup bonus for the Chase Hyatt card. Can I sell these, and if yes, what are they worth?

Yes. How long after the expiration date do you want to use them?

In general Park Hyatts are nicer. But there are some amazing Grand locations as well. Depends where you're going.

Grand Hyatt Singapore is VERY VERY nice. I would almost consider it a park hyatt.

I'm only a platinum member trying to stay at ghk on free suite nights. They tell me there are no rooms available for free suites or upgrades the nights I'm going to be there. Anyway around this?

I just got approved for the hyatt card and received 2 free nights.
I am traveling from israel this summer to New Jersey.
I want to stop over somewhere with teenage daughter  which will be exciting for her and great use of the certificates. She loves to hike.  Can be anywhere in Europe or even in us.
Suggestions on hotels and locations?

If I book a soon-expiring free night, will I be able to make changes after expiration?

What do you guys think about a paid night vs C&P?

For example $350/nt vs 12.5k points + $150

if you value UR at 1.5 then 12.5=$187.5     +$150 = $337.5

C&P seem like a real bargain for more expensive properties.
