Hopefully. The difference here is that it's not individuals and small businesses that can choose to ignore, but large scale hospitals with miles of red tape at the best of times.

Probably not, but they have to actually go ahead and get a whole bunch of higher ups to make that decision to not care and go against the governor.

I would hope they rather use up the stash and take the risk of getting fined for vaccinating unqualified people.

This isn’t just a fine, it’s a whole investigation.

In NY it’s a greater sin to give to unqualified people then to just dump it in the garbage.

Which qualifying facilities are not getting doses due to lack of doses? From what I understand not all doses were distributed yet anyways. So Cuomo created a limit on qualified facilities and now is limiting those same facilities by a big percentage.

I seem to remember that Florida got their vaccines delivered later than NY.

I guess Hospitals can bill giving a COVID vaccine as a covid hospitalization and milk out the government for another few hundred dollars per shot while doctor's office can not. Cuomo is just trying to boost NY economy
