They should all be closed for 2 weeks. Everything should. Mandated by the Rabbonim. We're in a Chinese finger trap. The more we fight, the tighter things will get. We need a 2 week break, let him get distracted by rising cases somewhere else, and we can get back to business. The alternative is lawsuits, more fines, constant police presence, more trauma, burned bridges, and fights to keep our mosdos open through Pesach.

Cuomo’s new plan is to go block by block. How’s he going to enforce this ? Seal the doors & put barbed wire around these blocks ?

I'm afraid it will just add a few more blocks to the red zone, not the opposite.

Also, he said that the information he has on each block is so specific that he can't reveal them.
This makes me feel uneasy that he can now say and do what he wants as it's based on information that he can not reveal.

Now that he has the right to withhold data, shutting down for 2 weeks won't help anything.
But you are right regarding distracting him with something else. Someone just needs to think of something brilliant.

https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/521553-ny-wedding-with-10000-attendees-shut-down-amid-covid-19?amp

The headline reads as if this happened already.

It has not!!

Crazy the level of propaganda the media will go along with.

According to the governor's website the zone based restrictions were in effect from October 6 for 14 days.

So is it going to end on October 20? Or has it already been or will it be extended? Where can we see more info as far as an end date is concerned?

Seems like cases are leveling off or slightly declining so would be nice if there's an end date in sight.

For those that haven't realized, willi is not a zone designated by the czar, basically no 1 test there.

Whats the point of a test? If ur sick stay home, if you're not then go on and about.  Just the way it's actually with the testing.

It should be interesting to see how this plays out. Even Satmar's political connections may not be enough to save their chassuna, which isn't in a red zone, but still had too large an expected turnout. How nice of the state to serve the cancelation order on Friday night.

https://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/news/2020/10/17/williamsburg-wedding-of-10-000-attendees-ordered-canceled-by-cuomo
I’m not defending the wedding at all, but will just point something out. Cuomo promised both satmar rebbas that if they toned down their SImchas beis hashoevas this year then he won’t close shuls. Satmar followed through but the governor still closed the shuls, now there’s zero chance they don’t hold the wedding exactly the way want too.

If he would actually work with the community then he would see more willingness to follow some of the rules.

100% look at Lakewood, no noise and ppl are somewhat  complying.

When ppl are forced to do stuff they tend not to listen.

It's like the gun argument, criminals don't seek a license.

The stuff the czar is putting out there is leaving no other explanation viable other then the fact that he's trying to shift blame on jews. Plane old anti semitism.

He is lying every day by saying ultra orthodox jews never followed the rules. Like every other community 99% did follow, 99% were closed during the so called first wave.
