How could the Rs have made it more efficient and secure? What did the Ds try to do to that effect that the Rs blocked?
Not take out mail sorting machines. Not cut overtime.
The D's fought back and the machines were no longer being taken out and overtime was restored to a certain point.

One wants all votes counted and the other wanted to suppress as many as possible.
Now we all know why each side is doing what they did.
Any honest person would say we should get as many people to vote as possible. That is best for our democracy.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Am I missing something here?
Appears so

Quote
The share of Democrats who say they’re more enthusiastic to vote this year is about 9 percentage points higher than the share of Republicans who say the same...

But this enthusiasm doesn’t necessarily mean voters are excited about the candidates.

Please reread the part of the article I quoted. They mention the fact that "only" 18% of Trump voters are "satisfied but not enthusiastic" compared to 42% of Biden supporters who say the same. They frame that as a negative for Trump.

No they don’t.
There is less enthusiasm for Biden as a candidate but far more enthusiasm amongst Democrats to vote. The article is very clear

When the Ds think now that they will turn TX Blue when the Rs currently have over a 1.1M lead at early voting and way more Rs will be voting on election day, Then something is really wrong with them only explanation is TDS I cant think of anything else.

Its similar to BP being mostly registered democrat but voting for DJT.

In texas being registered to one party is not necessarily indicative of voting pattern for national elections.

Now. I'm not saying texas will turn blue, but metrics many use are necessarily proof to any party being ahead.

Also important, there is a huge amount of people that didn't vote trump because they trusted MSM and thought he had no chance, then you had all the R's thinking trumps policys are bad for R so they hesitated to vote for him.

In total he gets a boost from the above 2 categories.

if its like BP then nothing will change and if you think 500k registered Rs are going to vote for Biden then I dont what to say. But if they think they have a chance they would send Obama Biden Mrs Obama and their whole clan because if they take TX game is over but the fact that they are in MI and WI when the polls have them up +10 then you know something is not right.

I dont think it will change it, but in reality when you go into uncharted territory, its hard to predict.

TX has a huge voter turnout in comparison to 2016.

Many claim they know.... but there is nothing to compare it to.

That's a disputed model. Nobody actually knows that.

It's very clear the demographics that voted early are pro-Biden. We all know Houston is going to be better for Biden. We know non college educated whites are good for Trump and they'e lagging their 2016 turnout.

The only unknown is how big Trumps electorate will turn out on Election Day. Texas is still a moonshot for D

Votes are never useless.   It won't change the outcome,  but it makes a difference.
