This comment was as biased as all the polls were.
What makes you think that people are pissed at Desantis? (To the extent that you felt more were pissed than vice versa, and would affect the vote.)
Of course, people that share your viewpoint on covid, are pissed at him, and that's what biased your thinking to how Florida would vote. There was nothing in the actual voting that backed that up.
Up north, many of us praise him and wish we had a gov like him.
1) I literally started the comment with the words, "Not worth anything at all."
2) I heard of a lot of registered R's who planned to vote Biden. There's no bias in that statement. Fact of the matter is, I know people who did just that.
3) There are many people who are pissed at DeSantis. They don't think he's taking things seriously enough, and they definitely didn't like him declaring victory over Covid before losing another 12k lives over the following 6 months.
4) I never said I thought Trump would lose FL. In fact, I said the opposite. I thought the Hispanic vote would react to the left's Commie vibe and vote deep red. I've also noted the heavy Trump support around the state with regards to his stance on masks and the correlation of the prevalence of mask-wearing here to his public statements in the summer.
5) I have no idea what the numbers will show, but I haven't seen anything to say R's didn't vote Biden. Even with a large contingency of Hispanic voters flipping to Trump, Biden still got the same percentage of the vote as Hillary in '16. Like I said in the OP, I'd be curious to see the breakdown when all is said and done.
6) I'd rather have DeSantis than Cuomo, too, but that says more about the latter than the former. It's just a different flavor of stupid. Camel or Marlboro. They'll both kill you in the end.
