Visible Plan Sharing
« on: October 16, 2020, 01:21:03 PM »
Visible runs on the Verizon network, and has an option for unlimited for $100 all inclusive for 4 lines. The lines are billed separately as well. Anyone interested in splitting?

This seems like a great deal. What's the downside versus a regular Verizon family plan?

One disadvantage is that it doesn't support all verizon phones eg flip phones

Lot's of phones aren't officially supported (like the note 10), but as long it could work for verizon there is workarounds (not sure about flip phones).
The speeds are mixed results when I had it in my note 10 I got great speeds yes some people are saying they get really slow speeds.
When I used it on a phone from visible i was getting considerably worse speeds. It seems dependent on your phone and congestion..

So you can be throttled regardless of the amount of data used?

Yes. Like all other subsidiary companies.

So to be clear, this company is not affiliated with Verizon, but only uses their infrastructure? If so, one risk would be forfeiting a good grandfathered plan for this company, and then this company going out-of-business. Do they support locked Verizon phones?

They are owned by Verizon

Their call quality is also not nearly as good as other companies.
Basically calls get routed different than usual and can be unclear.
Yes its unlimited data , so that's nice.
But dont expect data to be quick most of the time. The ping rate is high.

Agree. Unless you are calling another Verizon customer in which case it switches to HD Voice (VoLTE).

Depends where you are located. They have a POP in the northeast and just added one in Denver. If you aren't near these two geographic locations then your ping times will be higher than normal. For example in Miami it's not as fast as it is when I'm in New York. But still, $25 vs. $40+tax. It's great for teenagers that don't talk on the phone anyway.

How can I did out about the workaround?
