I never said they wouldn't get anything, just that they'd be kicked out of eligibility and their only chance is an exception, which is exactly what you described with those 2 quotes. An exception as granted for someone who failed to meet the terms of the offer.

Despite what the well-intentioned rep might tell you, I am telling you the person won't end up getting the points without going through an exception process since he wasn't on the targeted file. I guess we will have to see what happens.

the chat rep said she added the code cycd to my account, any chance in me getting it or im wasting my $$ keeping the gold @$30 a month?

applied in person with a printout of CYCD and just called Citigold and they said I'm enrolled since day one. For DD did a transfer from my CapOne checking acct and a Paypal to be safe (both came up as ACH Electronic Credit) but when I asked the rep if I'd fulfilled the DD requirement he said he's not sure. Anyone have any advice? (I searched the forums but the last relevant post I could find was in 2010 and yes I read page 4 of this thread but that seemed wishy washy)

Any ACH credit qualifies as DD IME. You should be fine.

so with citi sending a 1099 for the aa points,
would this offer also trigger a 1099?

and on another thread it says they only 1099 u when u redeem them. so what happens when u do redeem them?

This was always a 1099 sign up. Just the AA is new.

last time i did it it took the full 90 days from when i qualified for the points to show
