About a year ago I had a Facebook account added to my phone and I'm pretty sure they worked but cannot confirm.

You may want to try to clear the cache and data under settings >applications>manage applications

My phone has "Facebook for Sense" in addition to the regular Facebook app. Although I don't have the ability to choose between them other than when I upload a photo it asks me if I want to upload via "Facebook" or "Facebook for Sense"...
Otherwise there's just the Facebook icon from the apps to open FB.
