And this is the problem of having an all Boeing fleet. No room for leverage. Plus this was probably not negotiated properly as LY buys planes and the government pays for skyshield.

Gulliver is one of the bigger players.  This may be a charter in disguise (i.e. consolidator fares that don't have full rights and no accrual).  They've done it before, they offered $250 r/t to Boston on El Al last Black Friday, essentially inventory resale.

1) The LY discount is only ex-TLV

2) The main traffic now on this route is ex-TLV. Israelis can fly to the US without any issues, while Americans can't fly to Israel without special permissions. So they're not making promotions to attract Americans, as there aren't really any leisure travelers now only essential travel. And essential travelers don't need promotions, because they will fly regardless.

Interesting to note, amsalem.co.il used to be the leader in selling LY at a loss, and now they're only offering a very small discount despite the net. Apparently they can't afford to, during these trying times... And for the past two weeks none of them were offering very steep discounts. I'm surprised Gulliver went this far, while they probably could have achieved similar results at $600 while also collecting a profit.

Israel. But the flight is tomorrow. I think the 14 day cancellation is only if it’s more then X days away.
Now that you mentioned this, had a different flight I booked through UAs Israel POS. I called to cancel for an ETC. when I tried to use it, it came up as invalid. Called in and they said that they canceled it since the IL office has to issue the ETC and not the US office. I’m still waiting for my ETC for almost a month, but the reps tell me there’s no estimated date for them to process it. Anything I can do?
