That's what I'm asking. Why on earth does he need the originals in hand? He already stated that he believes they're authentic.

he does say they showed the shipping company pictures of the documents so they very well may have copies but they do want the originals

How does having the originals vs a copy help him with that? He knows he has the original in his NY office - he needs to verify the information within the documents, not that they're printed with a watermark (he can have his producer in NY tell him that part).

If the documents themselves were so damning (and could alter the election), then by all means just spill the beans on that story! This story isn't moving the needle!
