I don't think he is interested in doing it, although  to find out or if you want to use it as  But it would probably be easier logistics-wise, for someone who lives in/near Boro Park
Are they the only reseller?
Anyway first I gotta see what's the fuss about.

I'm under the impression (not 100% sure) that he designs his coats and jackets and has them made to his specifications in Indonesia. I'm sure others can do the same, but I am just not aware of any that have.

Are they 100% wool? Any percentage cashmere?

But please don't rely on me @mordechain thinks it's just OK,
I just called silbigers menswear in Boro Park. He has down filled long coats in stock for $135. I have one, and they're not bad.
The one I posted is OK, bit that's it.

Look for a cashmere one, warmer than wool, but those would be more expensive

Never heard of this.
He's been around forever, although I don't know if he always had "his own" products. I just saw an ad for Silbiger's in a 1994 Jewish Observer, "Jackets $35 and up"

Speaking of Silberger's, I am reminded of a letter I once wrote to a local publication with a "Mi Ke'amcha Yisroel story" that pertains to that store. I quote here the relevant segment:

Quote
It was a few weeks before my Chasuna, and I went into The Suit Place in Brooklyn (formally known as The Right Place) to purchase a suit. Being that I was to wear this suit by my Chasuna, I wanted a solid black suit, without any design or pinstripe.

R’ Elozer Meyer, the owner of The Right Place, brought me over to the rack with my size suits and pulled off a few for me to try. After trying on all the solid black suits in stock, I found one that fit well, but I was turned off by the style of the collar. (The collar was very thin and long, whereas I desired a more traditional style.)

I went over to Rabbi Meyer and told him that I liked that suit, but asked him if he had it with a standard collar. He thought for minute and said that it was all he had. He then asked me to wait a minute, and he pulled out his cell phone.

Rabbi Meyer dialed a number, and when the person at the other end answered, he asked, “do you have brand X, style XXXX, size XX?” He listened for a minute then said, “Great! Could you please put it aside? I’m sending someone over to you who wants it”, and he hung up.

Turning to me, “Go to Silberger’s,” he said, referring to a competing suit store a few blocks away, “they have the exact suit you want and they put it aside for you.”

Looks snazzy, but would it hold up to NYC winter cold?
its decent. It’s no down coat. This is my dress coat. For weekday, I just bought a down puffer at Calvin Klein. Originally 250ish , got for 99$. Also noticed it in a TJ Maxx for the same.

I snagged the Lands End winter parka for $50 a few years ago. Not very comfortable to wear, and very heavy. But when we get to the teens and tens (NYC) it keeps me warm.
Usually though I wear a London Fog coat I got on amazon for about $40. Has a hood, is roomy enough to wear a sweater or fleece jacket underneath, and can handle temps into the 20's with layering.
Would love to get a coat I could just throw on with no layers but I don't want to spend money right now.

Regarding the spending money issue, I actually used paypal pay in four (no interest or fees if u pay in time) so I spread the cost over two months...

I finally settled for eddie bauer superior down parka , quite good for ny cold. I can feel the outer layer getting cold sometimes but the inside layer still protects...
Waited for the price do drop on sale until around 150 before tax and then bought. Now it's around 210

I happen to like the coat, but can you tell me if the fur hood comes off?
Specifically the fur, not the actual hood? Thanks
