It’s possible that your right, but keep in mind that you live in lkwd, and the market in lkwd is different than most places in the country. Houses and cars are insanely high right now. Not sure it’s like that everywhere

I’m a Realtor ® and I can tell you home prices are up across NJ. My brother is a car dealer and he told me car prices at auctions nationally are through the roof at the moment.

If he ran as independent in 2024 I’d likely vote R regardless of who won that primary.

ETA: On second thought, that’s how I feel on 1/6/21, not sure how I’ll see it in three years.
