4 years ago there weren’t big MAGA rallies in NY & the jewish communities were still ridiculed & harassed for a long time for voting red. So we just gotta vote all blue to stay out of the news.

I don’t recall anyone having an issue with packed shuls, packed simchas, the masses walking around without masks, which made the biggest Chillul hashem possible in the news. Not sure why you would suddenly worry about headlines.
People were genuinely worried we would infect & possibly kill them because of our lack of covid precautions. Most couldn’t care less if you hold a rally for your candidate.

How we live our lives in our own circles is one thing, but all understood we got to wear masks on the subway, airplanes etc. We were never been involved in politics this way.

When I saw they blocked the Parkway I thought it was terrible to close the highway, until I found out they all stopped when the cops wouldn't let them off.

Personally I love to see them counter parade the radical left and paint NY somewhat purplish. All I'm saying is that it's safer for us to watch joyfully than actually participate.

Why can't Jewish people get up and show their support for a president that did so much for us? Why are people getting so offended by these rallies.   I did not join but I would have loved to. Yes, he did a lot for us and yes, I hope he gets reelected.

If you look throughout history, whenever Jews became visibly close with a specific leader, we always paid the price when the tides turned and the opposition took over. We became a scapegoat, an easy target. Trump has at most 4 more years. By all means, give him your support. But we gain absolutely nothing by making all this noise and drawing attention to ourselves. We only stand to lose. Remember who we are, where we are, and  why we're here.

You missed a lot. But to that point, notice how our spike in numbers was tied to our visible support for Trump. That doesn't serve us well, no matter how you look at it. Is it BS? Sure. Does that matter at the end of the day?

Visible, loud support is the problem. Vote for whoever you want, just don't call attention to yourself. Last I checked, votes are anonymous.
