How did you vote this election?
« on: November 04, 2020, 09:22:02 AM »
Not asking who you voted for but the % for R's vs D's.

R - 70%
D - 30%
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

If someone voted down one line it’ll be obvious who they voted for.

How many races were on your ballot?
We know you didn't vote for the (racist) Republican mayor candidate. Wondering how many other races that 30% includes.

About ten that I voted for. Don't vote for judges that there was a ton of.

Unfortunately, I didn't educate myself on what was up for election and who was running.

Got it. We had things like home rule. I skipped a ton of judges since I knew nothing about them.

I voted all R, aside for Senate, in which I voted for Cory Booker (I explained my reasoning elsewhere on these forums).

In local elections, the R was incidental. I voted for the candidates, who happen to be Rs. Some years I vote for Ds in local elections.

(Can someone explain to me how the Ds won in your local elections?? The Vaad only woke up 3 days before the election.)

You want to know why the incumbents won? Firstly, the Vaad did have robocalls for some time before the election. Secondly, most people tend to have a positive outlook on Coles and D'elia. Coles is good at PR, and he makes sure to assert himself into positive looking things.

ETA: As you can see by my voting choices, I disagree with that assessment.

I'm surprised people voted D at all. The rhetoric around town has been that Ds are the root of all evil, even locally.

But but but Coles is such a great mayor!!! Didn't you see on Ask the Mayor that he promised to talk to the state about widening Route 9?!
