I've been hearing about DHS watermarking & barcoding ballots to identify fraud, if there was any. Claim is that although each state prints its own ballots, paper is supplied by DHS.

Curious when someone here says "fact checked" - how is something like this, or other claims, fact checked? Are we the FBI or CIA? Or does fact checked mean it isn't seen on popular news sites? Isn't the media fake news that can't be trusted anyway?

It is 100% false. DHS has no part in printing ballots, the ballots are printed by the states or counties.

National registry of people and numbering them is critical for an authoritarian regime. Forcing people to be numbered is a bit like taking away their right to bear arms. Social Security kinds makes that pointless but that's the theory. Many less libertarian countries like Israel have National ID numbers.

That's not at all what happened. Someone came with a claim, someone else said to go to snopes to fact check. Then a few of us pointed out that they are not reliable fact checkers. If you're saying it's a matter of looking left and right and deciding which is correct, that's one thing, but it was presented as an objective way to find the truth, which it isn't.
