A silver colored canadian penny, I forget the exact year but when I looked it up, it doesn't exist

Is that like the American 1943 tin(?) penny?

What do you have in your collection?

A few thousand coins from when I was a kid (many are foreign and no longer in circulation).

A pound or two of silver, mostly Morgan dollars and liberty walking/Franklin halves.

Some notables like a collection of 6-7 different generations of NYC subway tokens, a 10 Mil coin from 1942 Palestine, a few 19th century coins found in circulation.

During WWII copper was needed for the war effort so after the US joined the war they minted pennies from a silver-colored metal, maybe a tin or some other cheap metal/alloy. Maybe Canada did something similar?

In 1943 they used steel, the 1943 copper penny is one of the rarest coins ever minted.

Correct, I didn’t know it was steel and I own a bunch of them. There are apparently only 5 extant 1943 copper pennies.

That one might actually be proper in some transliteration mode, maybe in French or something.

Hope this is an ok place, but I have some rarer lincoln pennies in decent grade (and, yes, one of the gold 1/2 oz from today) and was trying to figure out what my options are to sell them safely, since my ebay account won't let me sell coins since I take managed payments.

For personal collection I have a bunch of the weird items like the half pennies, but in bad shape. I also like weird international coins.
