Not frozen since all of those predictions were made specifically saying if it was a cold winter. That Freeport LNG shut down and is taking longer than they originally said to restart exporting 2 billion cubic feet daily (4% of the US average daily consumption) also makes a big difference. This is playing out like what I told my clients in August. I told them that if it is a cold winter and Freeport is back online there can be shortages and prices can spike higher while of it is a relatively warm winter then gas can crash to the $4 range or more. Wild swings like this do not make for a stable market.

Note that anything past the current season is still in the high $4 range.

For the record, the way NG prices are being affected by LNG exports has zero to do with Biden. It was all Trump policy.
