Avis no longer has Terminal 3 drop off. Can Anyone confirm that Hertz has terminal 3 drop off?
Just discovered this the hard way. As recently as January I returned an Avis car at Terminal 3. When I made a reservation for current trip I insisted with Travel Agent that I will only take Avis or ELDAN just to be told at pickup that car gets returned to Terminal 1.

I was told Hertz paid 4 million NIS to get exclusivity for car return at terminal 3. Don't know if that's true, but bottom line is that only Hertz cars get returned at terminal 3 now.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Hi
I have a general question - looking at all kind of deals on various websites (like holidayautos.com - a small car in TLV for 1 month is $215) do they leave out the Liability?
I know CDW could be covered with a Chase cc - but do the rental companies in TLV force you into buying their liability which is about $12/day?
Thanks

Yes it is mandatory by Israeli law.

Thank you.
I happen to look at Avis.com - when booking a car in Israel it lets you, as an optional charge, pay $5/day for 'added liability' - does anyone know if this is the same like paying for liability at the counter?
Also, what is the price they charge daily for insurance (given you have cdw via cc) on a small car?

Thanks for the advice!

The price for liability insurance usually starts at $12/day for a small car.

Anyone have experience with multiple car classes? I'm going with my wife and 3 small children, one of whom will be in a car seat. We'll need space for a decent amount of luggage, plus a City Mini. These are the models I got quotes for (listed by price, low to high):

Kia Picanto/Hyundai i10
Mazda2/Toyota Yaris
Accent i25/Citroen Elysee
Mazda3/Toyota Corolla
Ford Focus Tourer/ Kia Ceed Station Wagon
Honda Civic/Renault Fluence/Nissan Juke
Mazda6/Ford Mondeo/Honda Accord 2.0

Any experience as to which is the cheapest I can be comfortable will fit us would be helpful. TIA

Mazda 6
Trying to avoid going straight to the most expensive.

Anyway, I did a bunch of googling to find the listed trunk space for most of the cars offered in Israel (in liters or whatever):

Hyundai i10 - 252
Hyundai i20 - 301
Hyundai i30 - 378
Hyundai i25 Accent - 465
Mazda2 - 280
Mazda3 - 414
Mazda6 - 429
Toyota Yaris - 286
Toyota Corolla - 450
Ford Fiesta - 281
Ford Focus Tourer - 476
Kia cee'd Station - 528
Citroen Elysee - 506

Some of these are a little hard to believe though. Like the Accent (which they sell here too as the smallest sedan) is larger at 465 than my last American midsize sedan ('15 Altima - 436)? Or the Corolla at 450, vs the current American Corolla at 368? Something seems a little off.
