had the same experience until i figured out that you have to add 51 to the beggining of the rental agreemant number when filling out a retroactive points request on hertz's website, usually they have it all done within 24 hours. just a suggestion. its probably most worthwhile to get iberia avios points (which could be transferred to BA AVIOS ) as they offer the most points per day (for eg for a small car 300 compared to united which they give only 75 per day)
Thanks. I was talking about Hertz #1 Club points. right now there is a triple point promo so a rental for $32 gets you 96 Hertz points which IME are worth between 10 and 20 cents so that is worth around $10 - 20.
OTOH I assume 300 Avios are worth around $3-4.50.

I just rented from Hertz via NC, will update Be"H when I see points on my account. As I posted in the Hertz thread, cars show up online at Hertz.com for very cheap now.
