Just rented a car from Budget in Shefa via Noach...bad experience with Budget (not Noach)
First no available upgrades. Then paperwork was almost all ready and another worker walked by and saw my license is less than a year old. He said we cant rent a car to you because your license is very new. I explained to him that its new because my old one expired. He said ill need the old one then. I told him why would I carry it around..its expired! He told me "all you guys do this". I asked...whos all and whats this. He said all you yeshiva guys and come in here thinking they can rent with a new license. I tried explaining I've been driving for many years. So after checking up my name on their computer they realized I have rented from them several times in the past year. So I was "allowed" to rent.
Then came the cars...first car he went to get it...few minutes later came back and said the car was "broken". Next car he brought up was almost ready then another worker walked by and said gas is not full...cant give it out. So he brought it back. Got another car..all ready..and said oh lets just see the gas...and lo and behold...not full. Returned that car. Went to another car...came back a few minutes later...he said gas is not full in that car either.
I kept on telling the lady I was in a rush and if she can upgrade me...she said not if we have available in the class you reserved. I said cars that dont have gas are not considered as you if have it... Finally the 5th car came and it was with gas...and over 100,000 km on it.
Then the seat belt didnt work..doors didnt lock....
Is there anything rental places here do if I complain? or is there no such thing as that in Israel?
