1. He believes he actually has chances of overturning the results?
2. He doesn’t believe he has chances of overturning but wants to demonstrate there’s fraud in order to advance future election safety laws (voter ID etc.)?
3. He’s not sure on how to concede and is simply looking to buy time?
4. He enjoys creating turmoil?
5. Was requested by Putin to discredit the USA election system?

Trump not conceding is a part of his strategy, even if he knows he has no chance. Don't forget, he's the guy who called Romney a loser for having lost an election. If he's going to spend the rest of his life facing people after having lost an election, you sure better believe that he's going to fortify a narrative that the election was stolen even if it's for that reason alone.

The question is not why Trump isn't conceding, but why otherwise smart people are falling for his shtick. Let him go through his legal battles, but to think he can overturn even a fraction of the votes needed in that many states is just lunacy, especially considering the incompetence being shown in the various legal hearings.

I am not a lawyer, but I am sceptical of these claims. The one example of incompetence that I looked into, was that a lawyer "admitted" to a judge that they were not claiming fraud in a case that was not about fraud.
