Why is the Ring Doorbell App So Terrible?

Anyone else have the same experience? It was never great but after the last update it's not working for me at all.

agreed the app was never too good. takes so long to open. usually when some rings the bell by the time the app opens and loads they are gone.

I have the Ring 2 and it's complete garbage. Didn't bother subscribing as I will get rid of it. Heard the Nest doorbell is a lot better.
From what I was told, the Ring is very slow because it doesn't give you direct access to the video stream, it first uploads it to Ring and they have to stream it to you.

The app has horrible reviews on the app store. Wouldn't you think they would be working to fix all these issues asap?

Not quite sure why so many people are into this doorbell when it happens to be very slow.

 Me myself own the ring doorbell two, but haven't subscribed for the subscription even though I would love having a camera in the front of my home.

  Are the newer models any better?

Just because Amazon bought it it doesn't make it a good camera.

 Nest, Arlo. One of those cameras are probably better.
  And they are more expensive I guess that explains it.

 I guess I'll have to do some research on which one to get or even a different company and having free cloud storage would be a huge benefit.

Any filter kills the apps and its quite possible the filter is a issue.

The app is suddenly working again however notifications are not (yes I checked the notification settings in app and on my phone).
