Not necessarily.  I've presents like that (Holiday items after the Holiday) that were a big hit.
There are some very nice watches for well under $200 (not Skagen).

If you're looking for sports tickets, the best bang for your buck would be either the Brooklyn Nets, New Jersey Devils, or The New York Islanders. You can consistently find great seats close to the action for a fraction of the price you would pay for the Knicks, Rangers, etc...

I'm an avid Devils fan and I buy seats right behind the net a few rows up for usually less than $50. Compare to the garden where it usually costs between $100-$200.

i do believe that btw my father, mom, and their worker (yitzy) they come up with the best gifts (judiaca wise) from the most yeshivish ppl to the most secular.

the best bar mitzva present i have and use is my VERY large carry-on. big enough to store a weeks cloths yet small enough to stuff ontop. (or send down, as your boarding the plane) its an eddie bower. almost 14 yrs old. perfect condition.

they dont... just sold out... but when they did it was cheaper than anywhere else

joke: guy walked in said to my mom how much is an artscoll daf yomi. she said the price, the customer said oh well (store down the block) said it was 10$ less. I then turned around and said, yeah only when its out of stock.... theres a reason why your here asking for one
