Posted the following in the sydney master thread;
Tickets to sydney from ny/nwk per person for begining of sept to mid oct are $1311 per person on united. Not really looking for more then the 1 required stop and unfortunately don't have mileage this time around. Any ideas of how to cut that cost? Need 5 tickets. Have mileage for 1 so make that 4. Is it realistic to find cheaper? That's way over my budget..

Is there a better place to post it to get a reply??

1- how quick are the Spg & Ames mr transfers?
2- is there the same award availiblily on united offered on ANA as booking thru united? How bout as much as thru united & having the explorer card?

spg between a 1-2 weeks amex mr 2-4 days

The cheapest nonstop is 50k round trip on Delta by booking with Flying Blue.

The only UA flights that you can book with ANA are ones that show up as saver when you are not logged in to your UA account (not ones that are available because you have the explorer card)

So you would use delta points or flying blue points? I'm assuming they are hard to come by.. Are they
Without fuel charges?

If the transfer to Ana isn't instantaneous then I imagine it's tough to book since by time they post your flight might be long gone & then your points are sitting in Ana..
