They had probably the smallest selection in the airport. Maybe 25 cars. I asked for the e350 but she said its not available but the c250 is. I think they would've let me choose a different car had I asked.

I see 2 options with Sixt. Either pay in advance for a small discount or pay when you pickup. What about paying when you return. Say I want to reserve with an Amex but pay with the SP card? Possible?

pay at pickup is the same as any other rental. They just put a hold on your cc until you return

Any experince switching payment methods when dropping off?

only rented twice and was never nogea to switch cc but on the other hand they didn't ask me if i wanted to keep it on the cc like Avis does....

I rented from MIA in January. I would recommend them. They seemed to have a nice but smaller selection of cars. They are a german company that operates worldwide and are trying to break in to the american market. As a result they seem like they want to make you happy more than other places.

How long did it take to confirm a reservation from sixt? I(think) i made one bit i never got an email and cs can't find it

Whenever I reserve I get a email instantly.

Get free status with National- match to Hertz--> match to sixt.

Anybody know till when u can cancel a reservation at sixt without getting charged ?

Also how close Is the national car rental counter from sixt counter at MIA airport ?

Thinking about reserving at both and then seeing who has a better car and canceling other ( have executive status with national and platinum with sixt but sixt advertises better cars but national was $100 cheaper for a week rental )

Is it possible to rent w/o a credit card at hand?
I want to rent (at FLL) for my sister who doesn't have a credit card. Called and was told that the only way they would accept that is if I go into any of their locations while she rents the car.

Well that's pretty nice of them. Most places will not rent a car to you if you don't have a cc.

In some places thats illegal. Hertz will rent with a credit check anywhere.

Wow, that's, interesting. Any other way around this? Just to be clear, I am not trying to rent without a credit card, I am trying to rent without a credit card present at the time of rental--I will be putting it on my credit card.
