Most brands have high end products, mid-level products, and cheap products. Don't buy something just because it's branded as All-Clad.
Many chefs or people who do a lot of cooking don't recommend buying full sets. They prefer to buy individual pieces, picking the best piece for each category, depending on their personal needs. I've found that by doing that, your cookware ends up costing more overall, but you spend less money in the long run. First, because you're buying high quality items which last longer. Second, because you can replace individual pieces as needed, without needing to buy a whole set to match. Third, because you're only buying the pots and pans you need, without getting saddled with those pieces which just collect dust in the cabinet.
